Delicious food, I highly recommend the tasting menu that is called "Lascia fare a noi" which is a selection of 4 starters, 1st course, 2nd course and a dessert. Portions are of good size and so are very filling. We loved all that we ate, but the dessert, which was an unconventional tiramisu, was particularly delicious.
Wine is also excellent, and for each glass, you get an explanation of its origin and story. Very attentive staff. When you come to this restaurant you don't only get to savour typical food from the region but you live an experience that most restaurants don't offer so don't miss this spot when in Putignano!
What a surprise. We were actually suppose to eat at the nearby pizzeria, but that was closed, so we thought lets try the Osteria Botteghe Antiche. What a great surprise! We both had the "asina" fillet, which came with zucchini for one of us, and potatoes for the other. I can only describe this as the most amazing steak I ever had. The meat was cooked to perfection, tender, tasty. The zucchini, I do not know what it was seasoned with, but it had a zesty, sweet, flowery taste. It was like you could taste and smell the field the donkey was feeding on. We had an excellent choice of wine. Those who served us were attentive. The waiters speak English. The whole place has a very relaxed vibe, very rustic, it is difficult to describe. It definitely need to be experienced!
Perfect location in the plaza. We had lunch and tried the antipasti degustation, it was creative and delicious! It was enough to get you full so I couldn't finish the main course. Good value.
This was one of the best experiences I have had in a long time! We had the degustation and it was amongst the best I have had. A lot goes into an experience, this place delivered on food, wine and service! If in Putignano or surrounds - do yourself a favour!
Medium rare steak from local DONKEY (Asino in Italian)!!! Tender, juicy, no expected smell. Reminds alpaca meat.
Great local wines by glass.
Impeccable service, they speak English.
And probably it is the only restaurant open for lunch. Last order is at 2pm.
This place is an absolute gem in the area. Dishes are fresh and delicious, accompanied by great selection of wine. They combine traditional falvors with modern twist/presentation and have solid choice for vegetarians Highly recommended, can't wait to go back.
The place inside was nice, the waiters were doing seriously their job. The menu was only in Italian, they didn't help us too much to explain and it was too fancy even for a translator. So we were not convinced what to order, but it was finally ok. The ingredients were perfect, the "basic" rizotto or spaghetti was delicious, let's say fine dining. Little bit expensive
It was enjoyable, but not as impressive as anticipated.
The fresh bread and recommended wine were great, but the pasta dishes were a bit underwhelming.
The staff was not very warm and stood around chatting, which made us feel uncomfortable and watched as we ate.
I would probably not go back, as there are too many other great options in Putignano to explore!
